A.local guy,
At home in our local diner,
He is older now,
He is greyer now,
The organist at my parent’s Lutheran Church,
Saint John’s,
His mannerisms are the same,
He sat alone,
Weight on his soldiers,
Sunday in Waukon ,Iowa,
The dinner the S&D,
Pat Zidlicky my older.sister and me,
I love her deeply,
I love her true,
My hot beef sandwitch, her Corn Beef,
Her got his lunch,
Wandered by our talbe,
The home town folk out the front doors busily preparing for the big Saint Patty’s Day parade,
When the guy came near our table,
I asked weren’t you the fellow who used to play the organ at Saint John’s Lutheran church,
He said yes and I still am,
His name is Jim Bieber,
Such sad figure all alone with lunch in his hand,
He seemed cursed when I was a kid,
Lost his lovely wife Julie,
The next winter , James lost one of his beautiful twins perrished,
