Garage at Mercy One has no door,
She has to park at the end of the garage by the door,
Handicapped sticker means nothing!
No special parking for ER secretary who is crippled and works seven pm to three am,
No heat in her car.
She has no choice but to attempt to drive back to the Crappy Ass Oelwein motel!
Her mom sold her home last year and moved across the street from Penny ,
Penny’s pipes froze and part of her ceiling in the kitchen fell in on the twenty-seventh of December,
I stayed at Penny’s.Christmas day,
Thr catholic hospital mercy One made her work Thanksgiving weekend and Christmas and New Year,
Penny owed one hundred and thirty yet on her hip surgery ,the good fir nothing Christian hospital took four hundred from that pay check and promised they would not gmfo it again.
Penny has had no furnace for two years,
Last year the only times off she had heat was when she and her daughter road around Oelwein,Iowa, her hometown in her car!
She works on a cane has for five years!
Had hip replaced last June,
Asked the God damn catholic hospital if while it mends if sge could work on a walker,
Bingo Bango Penny was on temporary disability at seventy-five percent less salery,
I did research employers can take fifty percent on temporary disability they chose for her not seventy-five percent.
Had Covid twice while working in twenty-twenty one,
HR made her certify again in cpr, show she at near sixty could take down a mental patient and take a four hour stress test.She tried to find a lawyer to sue.None of the other nurses had to recertification or take the test to keep their secretary jobs. Found no Iowan disability attorney that would stand up to the Catholic hospital. Penny’s pagan like me.
It’s says in the law protected under no discrimination against sex,religion,ethnicity Yada Yada Yada!
There’s a housing facility across from her home she can not afford to tear down so she can sell the land.Yhe facility will not allow her to live where her eighty seven year old mom lives saying she isn’t disabilied! [Hell] yes she is! Plus she is HOMELESS!
Stopped snowing on Quasqueton,Iowa,
This was just sent to me from Penny telling of her ride home[ Just climbing into bed now. I can pretty much promise you we’re not going anywhere today. I came home through Independence and the road from Independence to Oelwein was absolutely treacherous, probably the worst I’ve seen it in all the years I’ve lived here. A car right in front of me spun out into a ditch and I saw two cars in fields. I tried to stop to help the one that spun out in front of me but couldn’t get stopped without sliding all over, luckily the truck behind me was able to stop and help them. You could see that it was mostly from the wind blowing the snow across the road but it was really quite a mess and in the areas where the snow was blowing you couldn’t see the road at all. I felt pretty lucky just to get home.]
