The smallest one,
Lost her fight to survive this morning,
No racing through my hall with his/her sisters and cousins,
Falling asleep on my shoulder as I read,
Squeezing in between Dude and Chester on my lap and drifting to sleep while I tell them all how much they matter to me,
My deep love for them all,
Telling them how lucky I am because they love me and I love them,
Except, of course, when Sadie gouged the hell out of my leg and I’m bloody,
Or Chester is sneaking up on a bowl of food not designed for him,
The baby will be in my heart and go where ever my feet travel until I am dust,
We lost ten kittens,
Lilly wasn’t feed by the human who gave her a home so we took her back,
Lilly lost four,
My Lady lost all by two they are in foster cat care with their aunt,
Schnuggler lost one of her six,
Precious had all her five,
Penny lost her first, and so has four,
I am excellent at caring it’s my gift from mom and her mom,
Pity there isn’t jobs for companion,
