Pete is the second human his last name alludes to me. Pete is only sixty and has bad lungs. Pete’s on a list for a donor. Pete is sure he will never get one. Ruth’s partner was blind and had a kidney donated from a guy who did not survive a motorcycle accident without a helmet.
Ruth calls riders of motor cycles without helmets organ donors.
Last summer on hot days Pete would call to see if I was ok. I had about thirty-five cats at different ages. Hed’d ask if I had food and if the cats had food.
Toward the end of the month Pete would bring me and the kitties food. He invited me to Thanksgiving.
Pete had eight children.Five sons and three daughters raised them in a log cabin.
Pete would never believe he was the friend of a non straight woman and I will never tell him.His friendship is beyond value.
