South Dakota nineteen ninety -five I was working in maintenance at Mount Rushmore concession. Paulette and I were friends. Good friends until I met Dave and Tom. My first gay friends. Very first gay friends.
Tommy was like my girlfriend. Tommy told me ‘You come out when you cannot be in closeted any longer?‘ Tommy was one heck of a good cook and friend. Tommy and Dave sold old charcoal projectors and old film.
Tommy was tall and as this as a rail. Light sandy hair. I was 36 I think Tommy was in his 40s more feminine than I.

Bill Musser,we share birthdays,March 10th,1958. First two wed in Iowa. His life partner and Bill wanted to have a family. when lesbians and gays were allowed to Wed in Iowa, which should be a given right to all Americans, we were the last of Americans to be allow to marry those we love. The year was 2009¹. (This is one of the rights we as Americans and my gay community are going to lose if the Republicans get in they are like Nazis trying to remove our rights. )
Bill and Otter ² dreamed of the family. he’s a lesbians we were not allowed, the luxury; of so many things. It’s not been that long since for one thing we were allowed to sit in hospital rooms⁹ with those we were in love with. We are the last Americans simply because we Lesbian and Gay, being gay it’s not a choice it’s in our DNA³. and yet as of 216 my college Luther College⁴ in Decorah, Iowa, still taught gay lesbian as a gender study and as a choice.
It was 1999 that psychology finally determined that we were not a disease and we were not in need of being cured and yet it took to 2003 to go into the DSM which is a diagnosis book for psychologists, that fact that we are not an illness!
Bill and Otter wanted children a family. They’ve been turned down to adopt⁸ because of the they’re gay. it says if the government figures that or imagines imagines a better word that gays and lesbians rub off on people. people who love and want to have family that is normal. that should not matter if you have two transvestites or a gay person and transvestite or two gay people or two lesbians. It’s called a picket fence syndrome⁵ we all want our own picket fence.
I’m so proud of Bill. young couple pursued it they were told they could not adopt a baby but they could foster care⁶ for a baby. I frankly don’t understand the difference between the other child the other person’s life to establish ground lines and teach love. New York was the first state that allowed gay couples to be foster parents. Let’s take a look when did Iowa allow gay parents to be foster parents? ⁷
The article I found was 2018 I know it was before that bill and his partner with Blessed with a little girl a baby. they were stuck with all this stigma that normally in big cities is stuck a baby is a baby is a baby is a baby as a baby as a baby is a baby! Black white green yellow purple baby is a baby!
Bill and his partner welcomed to little African-American baby sweeter than sweet. hi I’m happy to say that my friend bill is proud father and Otter is a proud father. That little girl last, I knew was 8 years old and growing like a weed with her two dads and four brothers and sisters all one family.
All started with love! These two men taught me a lot. and this lesbian soft Butch is better for knowing them.
