What snack would you eat right now?

I miss everything she made with love,
Would gladly eat anything she made if she would just come back,
I would even drudgingly eat the liver and onions that I thought were horrible,

But I could go for a month and Mom’s homemade potato salad right this minute,
It took Mom 5 hours to make her potato salad and a big ass metal bowl,
It wasn’t any of those square pieces of potato that some mothers use for potato salad,
Everything was finally chopped,
She didn’t make it like my older half sisters either,

When I was a kid I already called her making pizza or her cherry Christmas bread they were perfect,
That was back when I saw Diana as a friend and not a user,

Mom was nothing like my older house the product of a wife beater,
It’s funny when people are told the truth they still refuse to see it,
Mom’s potato salad got better with age,
her potato salad was a lot like her homemade pies never stayed in the fridge long you had to almost get up and the crack of dawn or in the middle of the night get yourself a big bowl of that!
Many mornings I’ll be watching Gay USA comes on at 2:30 in the morning on I’m Free speech TV and I be eating myself a big bowl whatever homemade anything I find potato salad that went first we put the pies in the cupboards because our kitchen wasn’t heated except for the cook stove so the coverage anything you put in the cupboards butter pie anything froze,
I’m thinking about going and opening the refrigerator and taking out of white potato I don’t have any white potatoes I have yellow ones they were on sale I take that back it was a bad guy got last week at the food bank I don’t know really like yellow potatoes I like sweet potatoes best they have risen in price since the holidays $1.72 a pound with no money in my pocket that’s something I can’t afford I haven’t bought any food this month,
it’s funny if people knew what you ate and what you got by with maybe then they’d hire you but when they asked my nationality I always put down two races or not at all cuz I don’t figure it’s their business I hate to put down sable too but I am I walk with a cane because my kneecap was moved over by a car driven by a white 93-year-old retired attorney who didn’t even get a ticket in my hometown,

I don’t believe in the Christians heaven but I know somewhere mom is making a homemade apple pie and your potato salad and her coleslaw my Uncle Norm used to call silage because it had all that good stuff in it,
Right now I’m craven my mom I miss her so much I can’t find anything that takes her place!
