not enough an elf on a shelf

Are there any activities or hobbies you’ve outgrown or lost interest in over time?

I love to read have since nine,

I will pick up puzzles,

I no longer do puzzles on the floor, find it hard getting onto the floor,

When you’re younger you fall down,

when you’re older the hardest thing about down is getting there,

Now I do puzzles on my phone,

I still pick up rocks,

no longer play as marbles,

I got an old Bank sack full talked in a box,

You could say I’m an Iowan girl with all my marbles,

I still love all animals and hate reptiles,

Don’t mind juicy fat worms for fishing of course,

Outgrown something I loved uh-uh no!

Love the written word will forever,

Write in my voice,

the neatest thing I found from my new friend Donna the writer the Chicagoan and dog lover,

The neatest thing I have learned from her is that if a question is dumb you don’t have to answer it just because someone’s asked it,

There is great wisdom and depth to my friend Donna though I have never met her I have read her,

I am beyond doubt sure that if I were to meet her and live near her she’s got sick to death of me and she’d say constantly Val go home,

Give up something I love I can proudly stand here or sit here in my chair at 4:17 a.m. Iowa time and in my mind and out loud I can say heck no the dumb question I would never give up something I love with all my heart cuz that’s how I feel about writing and animals and new friends and breathing and long ass sentences,

The only thing I would ever put on a shelf is that damn elf!
