Father’s lesson

One day our father was teaching,

The lesson was not to lie,

We all learn sayings when we link them to famous people,

This father was no exception to the rule,

The father used the name of the father of our country,

The name utilized as the Father of America  wasn’t really a father of America just a general,

This father was teaching that a man who represented a country like America was represented by general Washington who became America’s first president was beyond lying,

So he told his son a story,

I heard the story when young at the dinner table with my folks eating tomato soup and egg salad egg sandwiches listening to Fred Harvey on the radio,

Fred Harvey was telling about George Washington and the story this little boy’s father was telling the little boy,

It wasn’t a true story it was a laughing story,

Not all true stories last,

Color is added to his story to make it more believable,

The story was  thus created that has gone through America’s past and create a legend,

A seed was planted,

The story I’m sure you’ve heard it,

It was old George Washington when he was a boy,

The story states that George had cut down a cherry tree,

And when his father asked him do you know anything about the tree that is laying in the yard,

This is where the lesson comes in,

Little boy George Washington tells his father I did it father for I cannot tell lie!

The story is not real it was made to teach a lesson,

Nancy Pelosi used that yesterday about George Washington and how honorable he was and not being a liar like ex-president trump is,

Evidently Nancy Pelosi has never read a history book,

Cuz this like so many different things in America is US history books is felonious,

I think the best policy always is don’t lie,

But a story is just a story,

History can site lie after lie after lie from the ex-president trump,

There’s no need for fictitious stories the Americans first president who wasn’t perfect just did the best he could,

George Washington,
