Yesterday at Walmart
I had food for the kitties and food for Val,
And the biggest bag of cherry cough drops I can find,
The government allows us to get cough drops with the Ucard,
You can’t get any kind of hard candy but you can get cough drops,

Halls cough drops,
I wonder what the government transaction look like that initiated all the purchases through them Medicaid/Medicare card with Walmart actually was,
I would imagine major bucks had to transpose from the government purse to Uncle Walmart,
Uncle Walmart is making out like a thief,
Can’t get brown sugar oh no it’s better for you but you can get white sugar with U card,
Sure you’re 65 but you’re not old enough to decide what is good for you and what is not so you can’t,
Have those sweet rolls you might want,

However due to the crappy ass, new furnace that was installed in my home two years ago, this is the third night this month that I’ve had no heat,
My throat is scratchy now,
I seem to constantly be yelling at some kitten please shut up!
They don’t like the cold either,
Had a stove on and Mr Bird’s room for half an hour today,
The government said that they’d bring over or have someone send me a electric here,
I have three kittens about 3 weeks old in my sweatshirt with me,
Mama had six, and where they are it’s a small place so I took three out I’m going to put the three back in by her tonight because there are three litters in that little room hopefully it’ll all stay warm cuz my home is cold,
Feels like a morgue,

no toe tags,

Purchased with Medicaid Medicare Ucard,
I say the government cares us enough Social Security we can buy our own goddamn cough drops with their own goddamn money and use our own goddamn money to buy the groceries we want not the ones the government believes that those of us are 65 who are children are there children as we fucking are not!
