Who was your most influential teacher? Why?
Mrs.Fiet,
She was a patient of my dad,
Dad was a chiropractor,
The name’s pronounced feet the spellings German,
Mrs Fiet, was my 5th grade teacher,
Showed me that to be a good teacher you need to love your students,
Sometimes that’s something that you only get at school,
When I started this I imagine there were three there really is only one and that was Mrs Fiet
Mr Angel where’s my driver’s education teacher as well as he taught golf,
Mr.Angel taught continue to try you might suck according to other people but as long as you try and get a little bit better you’re getting better,
He lied, I love golf I suck at it,
I earned my numbers in golf,
I think only because I continue to go out for it and refuse to quit,
My advisor at Luther College was Dr Jeanette Pillsbury ,
But when I needed her she the most, no help at all, Dr Jeanette PhD was in math, my disability after being hit by the road after going through a windshield was a disability in math, after finally after 7 years fighting to get MRI I had proof of my injury no one came forward no one said she needs to be tested differently and statistics.
Was just easier to fail me out of Luther College,
Fifth grade teacher and more than her there was a librarian name Katrina,
Katrina was a librarian in my hometown and Robi Library,
Mrs Robi was a great teacher talk English,
Mrs Roby touch so many future writers that they named the library in her honor,
It was Catherine who posted my poetry in her Library and was proud to do it,
Me Val a gay poet in a little rural northern Iowa town,
