What sacrifices have you made in life?

Waited until forty,

To own me,

Went to no proms,

Ball games,

Dances,

Help my mom,

Went to school ,

Came home helped Mom,

Where is my older sister dated the entire male population of Laurens Iowa who were seventeen years old,

Of course she was married by 18 with a pregnancy,

My younger sister learned how to be a bully by running with boys,

But I was at home,

I wanted to be free,

Wanted to live my own life,

I was sure I was the only one in the world who like girls,

Didn’t meet my first gay person until I was thirty six ,

started raining in nineteen eighty five,

At twenty-seven,

Dated at forty,

wish I took it to my grave,

Because when my older sister knew,

I became her tool
