Have you ever broken a bone?
August twelfth two o eight,
Four pm,
Biking home
After final final in Culture Diversity,
A ninety-three-year-old retired attorney,
turned his little white car into me in the middle of the crosswalk walking my 10 speed,
I was lifted by the end of his car hood on to his hood with by my left knee which the car moved to the left,
Scooped into his windshield that I penetrated with my left elbow,
When the ass stopped,
I feel like superwoman smashing into the concrete and 5th Street my right upper lobe shattering to bits my right wrist,
When the ambulance arrived I was scooped up,
Tied to a board and take him to the ER,
Don’t understand medical malpractice until you’re a part of it,
Took me two letters to the editor to get the ninety-three then ninety-five year-olds license removed,
MD doctor Schwartz set my in bits right wrist,
x-rayed my kneecap,
It hadn’t been broken it just been moved,
Did no MRI,
Sent me home,
I had no medical insurance,
That night,
With my arm in sling,
I worked with Mom to make supper,
me seven years to get an MRI,
