What makes a teacher great?

Doc Jeanette Pillsbury,

was my selected advisor,

Luther College,

When I was getting into low rent housing she and Friends(other ministers) paid my pet deposit on Mr Black,¹

Doc Pillsbury knew of my anguish over statistics,

Doc Pillsbury a math professor in the Education department, was with me when it was made evident that I did have TBI’s

In two o eight with no insurance I did not qualify for the medical test the MRI when I arrived at the emergency room and Waukon Veterans Memorial hospital on a board,

Medical malpractice isn’t something you’re familiar with until you experience it firsthand,

MRI a test that should have been done in two o eight,August twelfth when I gone through a windshield and hit my head on the concrete road,

When I finally received the test seven years hence,

Doc Pillsbury,knew that it was true they allow me not to be proficient in a language which is one of the ingredients to a degree at Luther College,

Language and math skills are in your right upper lobe it’s your analytical thinking inside of your brain,

I could not do formulas I understood statistics but I was refused any other way of being tested,

I felt that I had been left out in the cold no one would stand for my head injury my disability,

But when I look at other things she had accomplished and help me with and didn’t quite even out,

I don’t think that professor should care part way and not all the way,

One of my history professors was gay probably more than I knew but I only knew of this well he taught he taught Scandinavian history,

The Scandinavian professor I will call x because I do not recall his name, said to lose the college was the only school I’d ever taught at,  that didn’t teach a class and why teachers should be gay friendly!

Luther  College just handed out the stickers for doors to anyone who might want one,

Professor Edward Tebbenoff,

Luther College,

History department,

always told us,

I will never teach you anything not on the test,

I will never try to trip you up in a test,

you have chosen the field of History,

I field I love,

I’ve always give you what you need to pass the test,

Doc did a really good job at that,

Doc would intertwine questions and answers and following answers and following pages so we always had all the information in the grasp of our hands,

Only one instance did I find him lacking information he said all Amish had blue doors,

No Amish in Iowa or Kentucky had blue doors or Illinois,

You would not release this idea,

Doc found fault with my 6-year research on the Amish in Allamakee  County,

I published it on Amazon,

Dr Joe Needham thought history and psychology and we always knew what was going to be on the next test because he would announce in his lecture this is a meat and  potatoes of this subject,

I dreamed of teaching,

I wanted to combine the greatness of few of my teachers and professors in my life that mattered that cared,

Due to two TBI’s I could not test out of statistics so I owe 64 Grand in this day and age that’s all we’re worth a number,

So no work for me so how do I pay back anything and how do I eat!

I didn’t ask to get hit in a crosswalk walking my ten speed bike by a 93-year-old retired attorney,

I have more worth than a number,

I learned that from someone I hold dear in my heart that I looked my life for in Arizona,

Family of worth!
