What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

weather is a test of time
today I took my own advice,
remembering my own blunder,
when two friends are disputing,
damn the hell back!
don’t try to help,
don’t try to console,
because you will end up eating your words,
let them discuss it,
encourage them to come forward and make their peace,
apology or apologizing owning your own mistake,
I believe that was my best advice to me,
I have had in days maybe years,
