I have an Arab teapot (that my mom had picked up at a sale, it resembles teapots from the story of ‘Alibaba and the seven thieves’. Mom bought it at a estate sale of army officer who was moving and I keep it with my few treasure .
My teapot sits and the worst idea for a China closet that hangs above the countertop. Someday I want beveled oval glass China closets like my mom had,one mom inherited from Minnie Nagle who we inherited our house from the other was mom”s great grandma’s.
Everything my mom had a value my sister sold for the coin in their pocket. I think sentimentality is of a more value than what you can stick in your pocket.
Someday I’d love to go to Istanbul and stand in the market and maybe have a fig. And just absorb the history maybe that sounds weird. I’m just being sentimental this early morning. that’s the kind of woman I am.
