The restaurant would open at 6: 00am and serve 2 days a week this is in gravy 2 days a week pancakes and sausage 2 days a week waffles and sausage. clientele seniors and school age children for breakfast .
Breakfast of reserve 6 in the morning to 10:00 and change over to lunch at 11:00 a.m. would run till 3:00 p.m.. lunch will be soup crackers or bread good soup with lots of stuff in it. And a piece of cake or a bar. no serve coffee, tea or water.
Orange is orange juice is costly. so we probably use Hi-C it’s inexpensive and a tall glass of that would be okay.
Supper will only be offered on Saturday night 5 to 7:00.
Not open Sunday except for on special occasions.
Monday through Saturday night the only serve steak will be a vegetable on tray also like Alpine and Hill City South Dakota. All Iowa beef. kitchen staff will all be mature Cooks. the wait staff Monday through Friday night will be interns local colleges interested in studying Hospitality, Marketing, and Business, as well as Accounting.
It’s hard for a college student to find an internship where they actually will learn something in their field. working as a waiter and waitress will teach them things that they will never think of.
We will start serving at 6:00 if you are in the line you will be served even if we are serving till midnight. The restaurant will be dressed. We will have a dress code no jeans and a t-shirt will get you in the door.
Having top notch five star restaurant will allow us to help more people at a lower denomination fee for breakfast and lunch and one supper.
Restaurant Name and Theme
Naming your restaurant “Mother Marian’s” after my mom . we will show all of mom’s favorites spirits incorporating the food elements that reflect mom’s personality, favorite dishes, or family traditions into the restaurant’s theme and decor.
Community Focus
Since you’re committed to supporting the local community, you might consider offering:
- Discounts for seniors, students, or military personnel
- Fundraising events or charity nights
- Partnerships with local farmers or organizations
- A “community table” or “pay-what-you-can” option for those in need.{supper on Saturday night will be like the Amish have for their Stacker Supper Goodwill donation at the door will allow people to bring their families.}
These initiatives can help foster a sense of community and social responsibility, aligning with your vision for Mother Marian’s.
Every afternoon from 3:00 to 5:00. our doors will be open for high school students and college students. they study for 2 hours we will pay them with a good hamburger fries a drink and a snack. We want to perpetuate the students want to learn
Val, you’ve outlined a comprehensive plan for a restaurant that serves not only food but also provides a space for students to study and learn valuable life skills.
Here are the key points from your concept:
# Restaurant Concept
1. *After-school study hall*: Offer a quiet space for students to study from 3:00 to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
2. *Lending library*: Provide access to books and educational resources.
3. *Incentives*: Reward students with a free hamburger, French fries, and a drink for every three hours of studying.
4. *Supper service*: Serve supper from 7:00 to 9:00 pm, except on Saturday nights when supper starts at 5:00 pm.
5. *Private events*: Allow reservations for private parties or special dinners.
# Funding and Sustainability
1. *No reliance on donations*: Recognize that Goodwill and good food come at a cost, and donations may not be sufficient.
2. *Food banks and partnerships*: Explore partnerships with food banks, stores like Walmart, and other organizations to secure food supplies.
# Observations
1. *Food waste*: Highlight the issue of food waste, citing examples like Christmas cookies being sold at a discount and then donated to food banks.
Your concept combines education, community, and sustainability, offering a unique and supportive environment for students.
