Since the merchandise was: and since I found out this morning that you can choose what merchandise you choose to ship I would ship media, games, movies, technology.
1. Bought in the United States
2. Sent to customers outside the US
As the US-based seller, you wouldn’t be responsible for paying tariffs on these domestic goods when shipping them internationally.
However, the recipient (your customer) might still be required to pay import duties, taxes, or other fees in their country.
To avoid any surprises, consider clearly stating in your shipping policies that international customers are responsible for any applicable import charges.
When I ship books the buyer always pays for the shipping. I think that’s a good policy since the customer is the one who’s purchased the product that they want ship they should pay for the shipping.
